Chesterfield is a compact little market town. It is very lively and attractive with its newer parts well designed to fit in with the remaining older sections. It has a large outdoor market and a flea market on Thursdays, farmers market once a month and regular continental markets. There are lots of cafes to snack during the day and restaurants for the evening. At weekends the town gets very lively with lots of pubs.
