Angels Bar & Restaurant
This restaurant has been a firm favourite with locals for many years. The main building consists of a bar and separate restaurant. There is also a beer garden situated just outside the restaurant. There is parking available in the private car park.
Inside the restaurant it is a little dark and the decor is a bit dated but don't let this put you off as the food is excellent. Mondays through Thursdays there is a 2 for 1 offer on main courses and there are several pages of choices, with something to suit everyone. The portions are very generous. Or you can opt for the lite bite choice if you feel you couldn't manage a full size portion and this is at a reduced rate shown clearly on the menu. This is available on many of the regular meals.
Starters again are very varied and I would throroughly recommend giving the Haggis Fritters a try.
If you have room for a dessert (and are NOT counting the calories) then the Chococlate Shortcake Sundae is a MUST!!! Drinks prices are fairly average and service is pretty good. If you are going to try this restaurant midweek to take advantage of the very popular 2for 1 offer then I would advise booking at least a day in advance as it's fully booked most nights and you would most likely not get a table just turning up - that's how popular this place is!
