Worth it
Outside of Whitby, this is my favourite Fish & Chip Shop.
The Car Park can be a little traumatic as very few people seem to understand parking slantways, but frustrations apart, it's worth it.
You can go Posh or Takeaway. The Restaurant is always busy but the Staff do well in keeping things clean and tidy, and they are generally pleasant. It is excellent for families and they do provide well for youngsters. As a result, it's noisy.
The Takeaway is attached to, but seperate from the Restaurant and there will nearly always be a queue, but the Staff are efficient and keep the flow going without rushing you; you won'y be rushed to get your salt & vinegar 'just right' for you.
Whislt they serve an array of dishes, I only ever have fish & chips, which are excellent. The batter is wonderfully crispy but light and the fish is tasty and cooked well. I have never had bad chips, sometimes they are better than on other days, but never soggy and lifeless.
