A Different Approach.
Nando's are a little unique.
You are shown to a table, given menu's and that's prety much it. You get your own plates, cutlery, drinks etc. They bring the food when you have ordered and paid for it.
You often have to wait in a queue to order, but they are usually quite quick to get to you. The trick is knowing what everyone wants before you go to the till and not forgetting you table number!
The menu revolves around chicken and in particular their famous PERi-PERi chicken which is rather hot. In general the food here is of a spicy nature, although a mild lemon and herb r mangoand lime options are available. Food is always cooked fresh, over an open flame (much healthier) and smells and tastes fantastic. There is also a range of chicken burgers, pittas, platters and salads to suit most tastes.
The cooking area is open plan, you can see the food being prepared and cooked and the open flame oven often looks and smells spectacular, all adding to the relaxed, freindly atmosphere. It is suitable for small or larger groups - they are pretty flexible.
If you haven't been it's definately worth a try - don't forget to get PERi PERi spice on your chips and do try the chilli jam - fantastic!
