This is a lovely, friendly, family orientated pub and whenever we have a group of friends or family together, and want to eat out, this is where we go. They have an offer on, all day, every day, which is buy two meals for the price of one. If you have quite a crowd going this is quite a saving. It's only on the main course though but it still cuts a big chunk off the bill. The food is always delicious and the puddings are also varied and nice. The whole pub has a relaxed atmosphere. You don't feel you have to have a drink because you are in there and we often just go in for a meal and a coffee. The name "Kiss Me Hardy" is a reference to Lord Nelson who lived in the area and there are lots of interesting naval artifacts and pictures dotted around the pub. There is also a children's play area upstairs but I have never used it with my daughter as I don't feel I can leave her up there alone as people can walk straight up there without entering the actual pub as the stairs come off the main entrance, before the bar entrance.
Overall this is a really nice pub and i recommend it if you want a cheap pub lunch.

If I had a choice of no stars at all that is what I would give this restaurant!
My Husband had ordered our food and while we were waiting my daughter said she wanted to go to the toilet. As we entered the disabled toilets (we used this as it was the only one downstairs) there was an overpowering, disgusting smell throughtout the room. I lifted the seat for my daughter to sit on the toilet, narrowly missing a HUGE, horrible lump of poo that someone had left on the seat! It had been smeared round too and there was some on the walls. I quickly got my daughter out of there and went to find a member of staff who was mopping the floors in the restaurant and told him what I had found. All he did was tell me where the other loos were and carried on mopping. This was on a Sunday lunchtime and the smell in there was so strong I can't believe it had only just happened. Maybe it was Saturday night revellers but I know the toilets hadn't been checked and cleaned for ages. This total lack of concern by the member of staff sickened me, as did the smell, so much that I wouldn't eat my food when it was eventually ready.
I would not recommend this restaurant. regardless of whether the food was okay, it's just the attitude of the staff that I can't accept.

I love this toy shop! It's just a smaller, local version of Toys R Us but not as crowded and not so much trouble to get to. I managed to get everything I wanted for my daughter's birthday recently.
The aisles are wide and well stocked and the toys are categorised, ie garden toys in one area, Barbie in another, board games in another etc. They have a large section at the back with things for new-borns with prams and cots too. It was a very pleasant shop to look round, parking was easy as there is a large car park and the prices are very reasonable, roughly the same aa you would expect to pay in Argos or the like.
I will definitely go here first at Christmas because the shopping experience here is so hassle free.

This is a very good discount sports shop. They do lovely little girls' clothes such as Barbie and My Little Pony which my daughter loves and you can get a dress for a little girl for less than a fiver, as well as jeans etc for the kids. They are also brilliant for cheap sports socks where you can get a five pack of sports socks very cheaply. They sell branded trainers at a discount too. The only problem with them is my Husband asked for a size 10 and the girl came back from the stock room saying "Sorry, we haven't got those in a 10 but we have got it in an 8 or 11". This just made me laugh cos I think a 36-yr-old man knows what size he needs and won't try and squeeze his size 10s into a size 8 cos it's all they had!!
Thye have a wide selection of sports wear and sporty gifts such as alarm clocks, mugs etc featuring specific football teams as well as calendars too. I even got a Kylie mug in there, not sure of the relevance to sport though!!
This is the first place we go if we need any new sports footwear or casual clothes for my daughter.

I have been using this company for some years now and would highly recommend them. They sell computers and anything you need for them but I have always used their repair service. If ever I have a problem I can take the computer in to them the same day and they are very quick and reliable with their repairs. If you ask them to save anything on the hard drive for you they will do their best to save what ever they can and will re-install anything back on to the computer for you once it's fixed.
My parents live in Colliers Wood and when they had a problem with their computer, rather than them disconnect it all and drive all the way to Sutton, Phoenix offered to come and fix the computer in my parents' home which I thought was a vey nice thing to do for them. Their prices are very reasonable and their service is reliable.
I did have to wait on their doorstep for over half an hour last visit when they seemed to have an extended lunch break but other than that I'm always happy with their service.

This salon was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy that she did. It is a small salon but very friendly. I was very pleased with the haircut and recommendation I was given to try using straightening irons on my hair. The hairdresser showed me how to do it and I was so impressed with her that I bought a set! The only thing is that now I know how to straighten my hair it doesn't get all straggly anymore so I don't feel it needs cutting so often so in a way she did herself out of some business!!
Anyway, the staff were friendly and chatty and they obviously have their regulars there who are pleased with the service too.
My only gripe would be the fact that they had a notice outside saying if they had been recommended, then tell the salon the name of the friend who recommended them and they would get a discount next time they visited. I told them my friend had recommended them but was told the offer of a discount for her had finished. So why was the offer still advertised on a board outside?
I will definitely be going back there though when I next need a cut. The price for a cut and blow dry seemed to be the average sort of price nowadays; not too dear, and parking is easy too as there is a big Sainsbury's car park right opposite.

I went to this hair salon twice but would never go there again.
They always have an offer in the local paper for a discounted Cut and Blow Dry. Well as I had been there before and really liked the cut, I thought I would cut out the coupon and go and get a cheap haircut there. Now I admit I have quite a few grey hairs for someone in their early forties, but after years of dying it myself and being embarrassed when the roots start showing through I had decided not to dye it anymore and just let it have grey in it. Well the hairdresser I had at Hair Location made me feel embarrassed and inferior to her as my greys were coming through. She told me she could re-dye it for me and that no-one my age should have grey hair! Why is that exactly, surely it's personal choice? I have better things to worry about than whether my hairdresser approves of my hair colour!! I felt so humiliated and small. I was happy with the cut she gave me but I told her I'd think about the dye. Anyway, at the till I presented the coupon only to be told that as I had been there before I wasn't entitled to the discount. Nowhere on the advert, or the coupon did it say you had to be a new customer, but as I only had enough cash on me to cover the offer price she let me have it at that price. I offered to pay by credit card but she said they only take cash. What company nowadays only takes cash?? I didn't enjoy my experience in this salon and will not be going back there.

Of all the pizza delivery companies in the local area this is by far our favourite. They have a wide selection of pizzas, many vegetarian options and always seem to have a deal on, where you can get two medium pizzas at a greatly reduced price. You can always ask to add toppings as extra, even if you are buying the pizzas in a deal.
The food always arrives very hot and the pizzas are tasty and fresh, not oily and old tasting like some local delivery places! Their jalepeno peppers with cream cheese are totally irresistable and I can never order a pizza from this place without getting them as a side order, with a dip! Their delivery is extremely quick too and the staff are always friendly and polite. Once you have ordered from them by phone you never have to give them your address again if you are ordering from the same phone line, as your number is recognised by them. It really surprised me the first time they confirmed my name and address without me having to tell them it!
I highly recommend this company.

If you are looking for an unusual gift, or just want to buy something unusual for your home then Greencades is the place to go. They have a lovely selection of goods, many handmade or not available from ordinary high street shops. They have their own range of aromatherapy products including essential oils, oil blends and gorgeous and unusual fragrance oils for use with oil burners. Their candles are full of fragrance, especially the coconut one which is a large pillar candle with a true coconut scent, not synthetic at all, so fresh!
They also do pot pourri, bathroom products, including toiletries AND soap dishes, toothbrush holders etc, that are different and attractive. They sell cooking spices, greetings cards, all sorts of lovely things for the home. I can't praise them enough and the service at the till is always friendly and pleasant. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere if you eat in and they are always courtious and friendly if you have food delivered to your home. The food is always of a very high standard. It is always hot, fresh and well presented. I have tried other Indian restaurants for food to be delivered but this is by far the best I've tried. They deliver quickly and the food is so nice! Try the coconut rice! Whether you eat in, take-away or have food delivered, the food is very reasonably priced. Try them!
